I am quite happy and satisfied with what I have achieved with this model I have created. This model is for middle school students and so I have made it very simple. I feel my model would help a lot in in explaining complex systems with disease transmission with the aspect that THE INTERACTING COMPONENTS IN A POPULATION DECIDES ON WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IN THE SYSTEM with the help of a feedback loop.
In my model,
RED spheres represent the ones that are transmitting the disease
YELLOW spheres are a group of population who do not know the effects of quarantine on transmission of diseases.
TURQUOISE pyramids represent a mixed group of population which thinks that QUARANTINE is the best way to stop a disease from transmitting and some who do not believe initially but later follow it.
As the red spheres initiates the spread of disease few of the yellow spheres and Pyramids would get infected but by the influence of Pyramids those believe in quarantine colliding with them each and every one decides to Quarantine themselves and hence the spread of disease stops.
