This is my slideshow for Waterville. I found that at the end the students wanted to dig deeper than just the idea that decreased oxygen drove the minnow population to extinction. They wanted to know the reasoning behind it so I provided them with some video resources and an article (links are provided in the teacher's notes in the second to last slide) to help them construct a strong explanation.

Thank you for sharing your powerpoint file. I'm curious, did you run this in your classroom yet? If so, how did the students do with the coding part. I followed exactly what was in the teacher instructions and still couldn't get the bass population to change correctly. It would only change my first run after pressing "run code" and it would only work for 1 year. I have a question out to the staff.. so hopefully I can figure out what I have wrong in my code. LOL
That same thing happened to me. It turns out I had one...literally one...of the "puzzle pieces" in the wrong place. Almost not noticable. I had to compare it to the teachers guide (which has a key) and even then I barely noticed it. I'm glad I'm not the only one who had trouble with the coding.
